Trastevere: A Dreamy Destination

Trastevere is the name the rione XIII of Rome receives.  The word “rione” is a way to call a part of the center of Rome.  Trastevere is specifically situated on the Tiber west bank, to the south of the Vatican City.  This place constitutes a really impressive city that, these days, is a very famed tourist attraction due to its peculiarities.  It is featured with narrow streets that are covered with sampietrini, which is a common pavement technique in Rome.  Also, it is really easy to find medieval architecture, houses especially.  At night, it is pretty common to see people outside since the nightlife there is quite amazing.  Pubs and restaurants can be found everywhere.  In contrast, the fact that Trastevere houses the John Cabot University and the American Academy in Rome makes it home for international students.
