Naples, meaning “new city”, is the biggest city in the southern part of Italy; however, it is the second by population since its metropolitan area comprises a 4,400,000 inhabitant population.  Specifically, it is located between the Vesuvius and a separate volcanic area called Campi Flegrei.  Naples is the capital of the region of Campania and the province called with the same name.  It is very famous due to its history, arts, culture and gastronomy.  Its cultural history and commercial activities have always been marked and characterized by its port.
