Volla




Italy, officially the Italian Republic or Repubblica Italiana, is a Southern European country comprising of the Po River valley, the Italian Peninsula and the two largest islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily and Sardinia. It is shaped like a boot and for this reason Italians commonly call it lo Stivale, the boot or, due to its prevalent peninsular geographical nature, la Penisola, the Peninsula.
 
Volla is a comune municipality in the Province of Naples in the Italian region Campania, located about 9 kilometers northeast of Naples. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 23,251 and an area of 6.2 square kilometers. Volla borders the municipalities such as Casalnuovo di Napoli, Casoria, Cercola, Naples, Pollena Trocchia.Volla belongs to the province of Napoli and is 12 kilometers far from Napoli that is the Chief Town of the homonymous province.

Volla has a population of 21.574 inhabitants and a surface of 6, 2 square kilometers thus showing a population density of 3.479,68 inhabitants per square kilometer. It rises 25 metres above the sea level. The City Hall is located in Via Aldo Moro. The municipality of Volla had a popolation of 19.250 inhabitants accordingly to the results of the national census made in 1991. After the national census made in 2001 the population was 21.574 inhabitants, thus showing during the years 1991 to 2001 a percentual variation of 12, 07 percent inhabitants.

The inhabitants are distributed in 5.762 families with an average of 3, 74 people per family. The territory of the municipality lies between 12 and 52 metres above sea level. The altimetric spawn is thus of 40 metres. It can also be considered as the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destination that enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers to become one of the most visited places.
