Vignola
Italy, officially the Italian Republic or Repubblica Italiana, is a Southern European country comprising of the Po River valley, the Italian Peninsula and the two largest islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily and Sardinia. It is shaped like a boot and for this reason Italians commonly call it lo Stivale, the boot or, due to its prevalent peninsular geographical nature, la Penisola, the Peninsula. Vignola is a city and a comune in the province of Modena, Italy. Its economy is based on the cultivation of fruit, but mechanical industries and services companies are present. Vignola belongs to the province of Modena and is 24 kilometers far from Modena, which is the Chief Town of the homonymous province. Vignola has a population of 21.178 inhabitants and a surface of 22,9 square kilometers thus showing a population density of 924,80 inhabitants per square kilometers. It rises 125 metres above the sea level. The municipality of Vignola had a popolation of 20.138 inhabitants accordingly to the results of the national census made in 1991. After the national census made in 2001, the population was 21.178 inhabitants, thus showing during the years 1991 to 2001 a percentual variation of 5.16 percent inhabitants. The inhabitants are distributed in 8.570 families with an average of 2,47 people per family. The territory of the municipality lies between 87 and 303 metres above sea level. The altimetric spawn is thus of 216 metres. Vignola, justifiably so, enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers, and is one of the most visited place. It is also said the place of best geographical environment and can trace its origins back to prehistoric times.
