Italy, officially the Italian Republic or Repubblica Italiana, is a Southern European country comprising of the Po River valley, the Italian Peninsula and the two largest islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily and Sardinia. Vico Equense is a coastal town in the province of Naples, Campania, Italy. It is located at around 40 degrees North, 14 degrees East. Vico Equense belongs to the province of Napoli and is 39 kilometers far from Napoli, which is the Chief Town of the homonymous province.  Vico Equense has a population of 20.048 inhabitants and a surface of 29,3 square kilometers thus showing a population density of 684,23 inhabitants per square kilometer. It rises 90 metres above the sea level.
The municipality of Vico Equense had a population of 18.967 inhabitants accordingly to the results of the national census made in 1991. After the national census made in 2001 the population was 20.048 inhabitants, thus showing during the years 1991 and 2001 a percentual variation of 5.70 percent inhabitants. The inhabitants are distributed in 6.481 families with an average of 3.09 people per family. The territory of the municipality lies between 0 and 1.376 metres above sea level. The altimetric spawn is thus of 1.376 meters. is one of the most visited countries.
