Venaria Reale
Italy, officially the Italian Republic or Repubblica Italiana, is a Southern European country comprising of the Po River valley, the Italian Peninsula and the two largest islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily and Sardinia. It is shaped like a boot and for this reason Italians commonly call it lo Stivale, the boot or, due to its prevalent peninsular geographical nature, la Penisola, the Peninsula. Venaria Reale is a municipality in the Province of Turin in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 8 kilometers northwest of Turin. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 35,128 and an area of 20.3 square kilometers. The municipality of Venaria Reale contains the frazioni subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets Altessano. Venaria Reale borders have municipalities such as Robassomero, Caselle Torinese, Druento, Borgaro Torinese, Turin, Pianezza, and Collegno. Venaria Reale belongs to the province of Torino and is 8 kilometers far from Torino that is the Chief Town of the homonymous province. Venaria Reale has a population of 35.660 inhabitants and a surface of 20, 3 square kilometers thus showing a population density of 1.756,65 inhabitants per square kilometer. It rises 262 metres above the sea level. The municipality of Venaria Reale had a popolation of 30.614 inhabitants accordingly to the results of the national census made in 1991. After the national census made in 2001 the population was 35.660 inhabitants, thus showing during the years 1991 to 2001 a percentual variation of 16, 48 percent inhabitants. The inhabitants are distributed in 13.252 families with an average of 2,69 people per family. The territory of the municipality lies between 247 and 324 metres above sea level. The altimetric spawn is thus of 77 metres. It can also be considered as the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destination that enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers to become one of the most visited places.
