Valdagno




Italy, officially the Italian Republic or Repubblica Italiana, is a Southern European country comprising of the Po River valley, the Italian Peninsula and the two largest islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily and Sardinia. It is shaped like a boot and for this reason Italians commonly call it lo Stivale, the boot or, due to its prevalent peninsular geographical nature, la Penisola, the Peninsula.
 
Valdagno is a town in the province of Vicenza, Italy. Valdagno belongs to the province of Vicenza and is 36 kilometers far from Vicenza that is the Chief Town of the homonymous province. Valdagno has a population of 27.193 inhabitants and a surface of 50, 2 square kilometers thus showing a population density of 541, 69 inhabitants per square kilometer. It rises 230 metres above the sea level.
 
The City Hall is located in Piazza del Comune 8. The municipality of Valdagno had a popolation of 27.449 inhabitants accordingly to the results of the national census made in 1991. After the national census made in 2001 the population was 27.193 inhabitants, thus showing during the years 1991 to 2001 a percentual variation of minus 0, 93 percent inhabitants.
 
It can also be considered as the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destination that enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers to become one of the most visited places.
