Torre del Greco is a town and commune in the Province of Naples in the Italian region of Campania, with a population of 90,607 according to the 2001 census. The people speak a particular dialect called Torrese and are sometimes called Corallini because of the plentiful coral in the nearby sea. The total area of city is 30 square kilometers. As of 2001, the population was 90,607 and density of the city is 3, 097 per square kilometers. Arab, Greek and Spanish traditions have influenced the city's culture. The dialect Torrese, spoken by the people in the city, is influenced highly with Greek and Spanish words added into their dialect which is considered not understandable to northern Italians.
