As of 31st of December 2004, it had a population of 22,218 and an area of 18.9 square kilometers. The municipality of San Giovanni Lupatoto contains the subdivisions of Raldon, Pozzo and Camacici. San Giovanni Lupatoto borders the municipalities of Buttapietra, Oppeano, San Martino Buon Albergo, Verona and Zevio.
