Mugnano di Napoli
Italy, officially the Italian Republic or Repubblica Italiana, is a Southern European country comprising of the Po River valley, the Italian Peninsula and the two largest islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily and Sardinia. It is shaped like a boot and for this reason Italians commonly call it lo Stivale, the boot or, due to its prevalent peninsular geographical nature, la Penisola, the Peninsula. The word Italy is derived from the Homeric Aeolic word which means bull. Italy is subject to highly diverse weather conditions in autumn, winter, and spring. The country has the fifth-highest population density in Europe at 193 persons per square kilometer. Today, despite regional variations in the form of accents and vowel emphasis, Italian is fully comprehensible to most throughout the country. As of 31st December 2004, Mugnano di Napoli had a population of 31,602 inhabitants and an area of 5.3 square kilometers. The density of the city is 5,997 per square kilometer. The city centre has buildings in a wide range of styles that include neoclassical, modernist, noucentrista and simply eclectic. Therefore, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and pursue enthusiasm in its natural beauty and populace.
