Italy, officially the Italian Republic or Repubblica Italiana, is a Southern European country comprising of the Po River valley, the Italian Peninsula and the two largest islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily and Sardinia. It is shaped like a boot and for this reason Italians commonly call it lo Stivale, the boot or, due to its prevalent peninsular geographical nature, la Penisola, the Peninsula.
 
Mondovi is a town and commune of Italy, coordinated at 44 degrees 23 minutes 7 degrees 49 minutes east. The City is elevated at 559 meters above sea-level. Mondovi is located in the Province of Cuneo. Mondovi is the birthplace of Giovanni Battista Beccaria, the 18th century physicist.
 
Mondovi is a city located in Buffalo County in the state of Wisconsin in United States along the Buffalo River. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 2,634 people. The city is located mostly within the town of Mondovi. A small portion lies within the Town of Naples.
