Iesolo
Italy, officially the Italian Republic or Repubblica Italiana, is a Southern European country comprising of the Po River valley, the Italian Peninsula and the two largest islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily and Sardinia. It is shaped like a boot and for this reason Italians commonly call it lo Stivale, the boot or, due to its prevalent peninsular geographical nature, la Penisola, the Peninsula. Iesolo belongs to the province of Venezia and is 47 kilometers far from Venezia that is the Chief Town of the homonymous province. Iesolo has a population of 22.698 inhabitants and a surface of 95, 2 square kilometers thus showing a population density of 238, 42 inhabitants per square kilometer. It rises 2 metres above the sea level. The municipality of Iesolo had a popolation of 22.151 inhabitants accordingly to the results of the national census made in 1991. After the national census made in 2001 the population was 22.698 inhabitants, thus showing during the years 1991-2001 a perceptual variation of 2, 47 percent inhabitants. The inhabitants are distributed in 8.730 families with an average of 2,60 people per family. The place and the territory of the municipality lie between 0 and 8 metres above sea level. The altimetric spawn is thus of 8 metres. It can also be considered as the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destination that enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers to become one of the most visited places.
