Giussano
Italy, officially the Italian Republic or Repubblica Italiana, is a Southern European country comprising of the Po River valley, the Italian Peninsula and the two largest islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily and Sardinia. It is shaped like a boot and for this reason Italians commonly call it lo Stivale, the boot or, due to its prevalent peninsular geographical nature, la Penisola, the Peninsula. Giussano is a commune or a municipality in the Province of Milan in the Italian region Lombardy, located at about 25 kilometers far away to the north of Milan.. As of 31st of December 2004, it had a population of 22,696 and an area of 10.3 square kilometers. The municipality of Giussano contains the frazioni, the subdivisions, of Paina, Birone, Robbiano and Brugazzo. The city of Giussano borders the municipalities of Inverigo, Carugo, Arosio, Briosco, Mariano, Comense, Carate Brianza, Verano Brianza and Seregno. Giussano is also known as the town of best geographical environment and has traced its origins back to prehistoric times. Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and can also enjoy its natural beauty concealed by the beautiful landscapes.
