Giovinazzo
Italy, officially the Italian Republic or Repubblica Italiana, is a Southern European country comprising of the Po River valley, the Italian Peninsula and the two largest islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily and Sardinia. It is shaped like a boot and for this reason Italians commonly call it lo Stivale, the boot or, due to its prevalent peninsular geographical nature, la Penisola, the Peninsula. Giovinazzo is a port city situated on the Adriatic coast in the region of Apulia, Italy. Giovinazzo has 20,934 inhabitants as of 2004. Giovinazzo lies 18 kilometers west northwest of the provincial capital of Bari and is adjacent to the city of Molfetta. The City of Giovinazzo is at around 41 degrees 11 minutes latitudes towards the north and 16 degrees 40 minutes longitudinally. There are lots of historic places in Giovinazzo that boosts tourism in the city. The tomb represents the greatest existing megalithic funeral monument in Italy. Giovinazzo is also known as the town of best geographical environment and has traced its origins back to prehistoric times. Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and can also enjoy its natural beauty concealed by the beautiful landscapes.
