Garbagnate Milanese is a municipality in the Province of Milan in the Italian region Lombardy. It is located about 15 kilometers northwest of Milan. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 27,167 and an area of 8.9 kilometers. The municipality of Garbagnate Milanese contains the frazioni subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets, Bariana and Santa Maria Rossa. Garbagnate Milanese borders the following municipalities Caronno Pertusella, Cesate, Lainate, Senago, Arese, Bollate and Baranzate.
