Frattamaggiore
Italy, officially the Italian Republic or Repubblica Italiana, is a Southern European country comprising of the Po River valley, the Italian Peninsula and the two largest islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily and Sardinia. It is shaped like a boot and for this reason Italians commonly call it lo Stivale, the boot or, due to its prevalent peninsular geographical nature, la Penisola, the Peninsula. Frattamaggiore is a community in the province of Napoli in Campania, Italy. It is located in the Afragola hinterland. Frattamaggiore belongs to the province of Napoli and is 12 kilometers far from Napoli, which is the Chief Town of the homonymous province. This city has a population of 32.731 inhabitants and a surface of 53 square kilometers thus showing a population density of 6.175,66 inhabitants per square kilometer. It rises 44 metres over the sea level. The municipality of Frattamaggiore had a popolation of 36.089 inhabitants as per the results of the national census made in 1991. After the national census made in 2001 the population was 32.731 inhabitants, thus showing during the years form 1991 to 2001 a variation of -9.30 percent inhabitants. A city known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, cooperative people and luxurious hotels and cottages, Frattamaggiore is one of the favorite holiday destinations for most of the vacation lovers.
