Fasano




Italy, officially the Italian Republic or Repubblica Italiana, is a Southern European country comprising of the Po River valley, the Italian Peninsula and the two largest islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily and Sardinia. It is shaped like a boot and for this reason Italians commonly call it lo Stivale, the boot or, due to its prevalent peninsular geographical nature, la Penisola, the Peninsula.
 
Fasano is an active town, based on farming and on the craft of wrought iron and carpets, is found in Murgia dei Trulli close to the Adriatic coastline there are hundreds of trulli scattered around the hilly area between Fasano. The late 16th century mother church and the small Byzantine temple of Seppanibale in 10th century are both points of interest. Tourism is in continuous expansion, especially because of the presence of the biggest safari park zoo in the south, the Selva di Fasano.
 
Fasano is a commune in the province of Brindisi in Puglia,on the south-east Italy coast. Its main economic activities are tourism and the growing of olives and grapes. Fasano is one of the most visited places. It enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers, and it is also said the place of best geographical environment and can trace its origins back to prehistoric times.
