Copertino is a city and community in the Italian province of Lecce in the Apulia region of south-east Italy. Copertino is 16.8 kilometers far from Lecce that is the chief town of the homonymous province to whom the municipality belongs. Copertino has a population of 22, 294 inhabitants and a surface of 57.76 square kilometers thus showing a population density of 386.0 inhabitants per square kilometer.
