Cardito
Italy, officially the Italian Republic or Repubblica Italiana, is a Southern European country comprising of the Po River valley, the Italian Peninsula and the two largest islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily and Sardinia. It is shaped like a boot and for this reason Italians commonly call it lo Stivale, the boot or, due to its prevalent peninsular geographical nature, la Penisola, the Peninsula. Cardito is a municipality in the Province of Naples in the Italian region of Campania located about 14 km northeast of Naples. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 20,752 people and an area of 3.2 square kilometers. The municipality of Cardito contains the subdivision Carditello. Cardito borders the municipalities of Afragola, Caivano, Casoria, Crispano and Frattamaggiore. The elevation of the area in the city is 33 meters above the sea level. The density of the area is 6567 per square kilometer. The City coordinates 40 degrees, 57 minutes towards the north and 14 degrees, 18 minutes towards the east. The postal code of the city is 80024. Cardito is also known as the town of best geographical environment and has traced its origins back to prehistoric times.
