Aprilia




Italy, officially the Italian Republic or Repubblica Italiana, is a Southern European country comprising of the Po River valley, the Italian Peninsula and the two largest islands in the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily and Sardinia. It is shaped like a boot and for this reason Italians commonly call it lo Stivale, the boot or, due to its prevalent peninsular geographical nature, la Penisola, the Peninsula.

Aprilia is one of Italy’s most popular destinations, and is well known for the quantity of cultural related attractions and monuments that the city has embraced. Aprilia was established on April 25, 1936 during the Fascist government and is a town in the province of Latina, in the Lazio region. However, according to precious archeological findings, it can be affirmed that this area was first populated during the Roman era. The center of Aprilia’s capital is at a distance 40 kilometers from Rome, 16 kilometers from the coast of Anzio and Neptune, 18 kilometers from the Alban necks and 26 kilometers from Latin.

Presently, Aprilia is a commune of 63830 inhabitants from the province of Latin. The town is the fourth one in order of foundation between those built in the swampy areas of the sour pontino during the fascism.  Currently, Aprilia experiences a sharp social, economic and population growth derivative of the strategic position of the locality and the high level of well-being and quality of life that is enjoyed with respect to other places of Italy. This fact has consolidated along with other adjacent municipalities, as a great alternative for residence.
 
Aprilia, justifiably so, enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers, and is one of the most visited places. It is also the place of best geographical environment and can trace its origin back to prehistoric times.
